For example, a switch can display a\nlist of which device is connected to each port.\n\nLADVD uses privilege separation; privileges are required to handle\nraw sockets and certain ioctl()s. Network data is parsed by an\nunprivileged child process.\n\nEvery 30 seconds the child generates advertisement frames reflecting\nthe current system state. Interfaces (bridge, bonding, wireless),\ncapabilities (bridging, forwarding, wireless) and addresses (IPv4,\nIPv6) are detected dynamically.
