The public STFL API is only 14 simple function calls big and\nthere are already generic SWIG bindings. Thus is very easy to port STFL\nto additional scripting languages.\n\nA special language (the Structured Terminal Forms Language) is used to\ndescribe STFL GUIs. The language is designed to be easy and fast to\nwrite so an application programmer does not need to spend ages fiddling\naround with the GUI and can concentrate on the more interesting\nprogramming tasks.\n\nThere are two different syntaxes for STFL code, one designed to make\nhandwriting of STFL code as easy as possible and one aiming at generated\nSTFL code.\n\nThe STFL GUI descriptions (written in STFL code) do not contain any\nconcrete layouting information such as x/y coordinates of widgets.\nInstead container widgets such as vertical and horizontal boxes as well\nas tables are used to group widgets and the actual layouting work is\ndone by the STFL library. Thus STFL GUIs can handle terminals of\ndifferent sizes and terminal resize events transparently for the\napplication programmer.\n","package_architecture":"amd64","stem":"stfl","readme":null,"dependencies":[{"path":"converters/libiconv","type":"library","package_spec":"","url":"/packages/release/converters/libiconv/"},{"path":"devel/gmake","type":"build","package_spec":"","url":"/packages/release/devel/gmake/"}],"reverse_dependencies":{"count":1,"url":"/packages/data/2b/2bb68438b842dc8e2665a2eb23bcdef8ef4543424b1956102bc773f31abc682d.json"},"categories":["devel"],"flavors":[],"only_for_architectures":[],"not_for_architectures":[]}}
